I don't know about you, but it seems like it sure is good to be a kid these days. Or at least our kids. I like to hand make their Easter baskets, and put in the things I know they would each like. Christians had a Lego set and this cool Pop Rocks that you put in a test tube and add some solution to it, and it boils up out of the tube, and then you can drink it. Mallory had Pixos in hers. She loves Pixos. And Jetts had a bubble tumbler and the ever popular pinwheel, which I think has been a favorite for decades with kids. Jordan said, "Your not getting me an Easter basket, RIGHT!! I'm too old for that, mom. I just want a chocolate bunny." But I mean, really, who is going to know. Your friends aren't here Easter morning. He has officially out grown the Easter Bunny. But I couldn't resist, so I got him a very small basket, with no cellophane, with a chocolate Easter bunny, some Warheads, and a gift card. I love doing all the Easter baskets. What will I do with all my energy when the last of our kids, Jett, says I'm too old for Easter baskets mom, just a chocolate bunny please.

Easter Table

Even though it's just me Tom and the kids, I still like to make everything nice for them. Here is the tablescape for Easter. I saw this centerpiece at Ralphs. I loved the three different colors of daisys they used, perfect for my table, since I always use pastels for Easter and spring.

Happy Birthday Christian

Christian turned the big double digits, 10!! He invited two of his best friends, Collin and Evan out to Chinese dinner with. Christians favorite dishes were ordered, chow mien, house special crab, and Peking duck. We also ordered orange chicken for one of his friends who is a little more shy when it comes to Chinese food. We ordered sauteed shrimp and sizzling rice soup, and my favorite, beef with black pepper sauce. After that we went back to our house for cake and presents. I love the picture with just Christian, Collin, and Evan. They just look like best buddies, and their smiles are just truly genuine.

An Evening at Lawry's

We decided to take the boys on our date night to Lawry's of Beverly Hills (something I told my husband will only happen this once). Of course, they loved it. What's not to love. Prim rib, cream spinach, mashed potatoes and auju sauce, yorkshire pudding, hot fresh sourdough bread, and Shirley Temples. And of course if that wasn't enough, the kids wanted dessert as well. Christian had Haagen Daz chocolate ice cream, and Jordan had the infamous Lawry's hot fudge sundae.
